British Columbia and Yukon Expedition
Canada’s northwest lets you explore glacier-carved valleys, rolling tundra plateaus and exuberant coastal rainforest. All in one trip! In Kluane National Park we hike up a broad valley and make camp at the foot of a 80 km long glacier, amidst the highest density of Dall sheep and grizzly bears in North America.
We then fly where alpine tundra is splashed with a colourful blend of volcanic rock. Known as BC's Serengeti for its rich wildlife and flora, Spatsizi counts the Sasquatch among its recorded species. We fly out in time to see salmon return to their spawning grounds (and bears wanting to prevent that) before following the Nisga'a lava fields to the coast. Here local guides lead us to towering old growth forests, massive waterfalls and the native salmon dip-net fishery.
