You showed us much more than I expected. Spectacular westcoast nature, unexpected shapes, colours and forms. Setting a slow pace, slowed us down too – time to smell the Nootka roses! Thank you, an experience which really ‘made’ our Canada trip!

Gulf Islands kayaking

Combine the beauty of the southern Gulf Islands with the distinct pleasure of being self-propelled. Comfortable and ultra-stable 22 foot double sea kayaks take you from one wondrous island to another. The Gulf Islands lie in the protection of Vancouver Island’s east coast and enjoy a significantly warmer climate. This promotes a different rainforest – one with the ruby-red Arbutus tree, towering Douglas fir and sheltered bays with brightly coloured starfish, anemones and giant shells. We’ll see seal colonies, otters, porpoises and deer, raccoon and eagles.

Experience the islands’ gentle beauty in a small group at a slow pace, accompanied by a certified Nature Trek Canada guide. Explore and enjoy and be prepared to leave the islands a little changed (for the better).
