Iskut River rafting expedition
The source of three mighty British Culombia rivers - the Skeena, Stikine and Nass - lies in a place the Tahltan people call the Sacred Headwaters. One lesser known tributary is the Iskut river which flows through an area renowed for its rich temperate rainforests hemmed in by colossal mountains. With Jim Bourquin, an inspiring naturalist, rafting guide and affiliate with the Tahltan nation, wilderness takes centre stage in a 10 day Iskut rafting expedition. Wade Davis of the National Geographic Society and author of the 2011 book Sacred Headwaters, may also join us.
We will then take you to some little known areas of central British Columbia - the sparse surroundings of the Cariboo and Chilcotin along with the stark apline beauty of the Coast Mountains. Try something truly different and join us on this one-of-a-kind expedition!
