Labrador Winter Expedition

Local Inuit guides will accompany Nature Trek Canada on an awe-inspiring expedition through the wintry landscapes of northern Labrador. With snowmobiles as our mode of transportation we will establish basecamps in the breathtakingly scenic Torngat Mountains, on the frozen ocean and among the cliffs of the Kaumajet mountains. An excellent opportunity to observe wildlife and on clear nights our campfire crackles while northern lights dance overhead. Inuit techniques like ice fishing, igloo construction and snowmobiling will be part of everyday life on the ice.

There will be a total of 2 guides and 2 assistants on this trip. We will travel in style with wooden komatiks (sleds), wood-heated Inuit wall tents and sturdy dome sleeping tents. We will travel in march when the days are long and the temperatures comfortable (enough).
