Our Labrador Trips
The Labrador Coast Expedition explores northern Labrador by sea from the comfort of a chartered vessel witn an Inuit crew and numerous opportunities for hiking and exploration by foot.
The Torngat Mountains Expedition is a full-blown trekking adventure into some of the most overpowering scenery Labrador has to offer. It is both challenging and rewarding, an unforgettable experience.
Why go with Nature Trek Canada?
We know the area like few others do. We started working in Labrador as biologists in 1988. Our first Labrador expedition was in 1992 and we have organized expeditions there every year ever since. To date, only Nature Trek Canada offers scheduled trips into Labrador. Our experience of Labrador gives us an insight that few others have in that still little known land.

Awesome scenery
Labrador's rugged coastal wilderness is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean. Here the boreal forest gradually gives way to endless tundra and alpine landscapes. The jagged Torngat Mountains, steep coastal fjords, glistening pale-blue icebergs, northern lights and a unique variety of plants and animals make Labrador truly special.
Abundant wildlife and flora
Labrador is home to over 350,000 caribou as well as wolves, black and polar bears, foxes and countless birds. Whales and seals ply the majestic fjords, rivers and lakes teem with salmon, char and trout. Tundra and taiga shelter an exuberant subarctic and alpine flora.
Rich human history
On the Coast, the Inuit, Innu, Metis and settlers are inseparably connected with the land to which they add their rich culture. Our local contacts and guides let you experience their subarctic wilderness.
