Vancouver Island’s wild side

Portland Island beach, Gulf Islands National Park, BC

21 day wilderness adventure | June-July 2017

We designed this trip for a family who were most content spending less time on the road. They furthermore really wanted to learn about true wilderness without getting into  ‘survival’ mode.

In consultation with them, we proposed a route in which a gradual exposure to the west coast environment increased their knowledge of nature and wilderness savvy. Vancouver Island is the ultimate setting for this, while leaving plenty of room for self-discovery and wildlife observation.
