Why do we like caribou so much that we adopted it for our logo?
Anne-Marie and I both started as wildlife biologists…
Caribou became our main subject of research and over the years we have spent a lot of time in the field studying them, mainly in Labrador and in Ontario. Of course, getting to know them as a species, we have come to appreciate the animal, and in the process we have come to appreciate where they roam. In some way they taught us the love for their world which we now share with you.
But you don’t need a degree in biology to enjoy to the fullest the sight of one the most graceful animals you’ll come across in the Canadian wild, one that is as curious about you as you are about them.
Lo Camps and Anne-Marie Linders are the co-authors of a scientific (but highly readable) book on caribou, published by McGill University Press.
