1-5 day guided trips | April-October
Kayaking tour of Gulf Island National Park
The Gulf Islands lie in the rainshadow of Vancouver Island and enjoy a noticeably warmer and drier climate. The result is a different kind of coastal forest – with ruby-red Arbutus trees, towering Douglas fir, gnarled Garry oak – and sheltered bays with brightly colored starfish, anemones and giant clam shells. Wildlife abounds – seals, river otters, porpoises and deer, raccoons, hummingbirds and eagles.
Savour the timeless beauty of one of Canada’s newest national parks, in a small group, at a slow pace, with a certified local Nature Trek Canada guide.
You showed us much more than I expected. Spectacular west coast nature, unexpected shapes, colours and forms. Setting a slow pace, slowed us down too – time to smell the Nootka roses! Thank you, an experience which really ‘made’ our Canada trip!
