You will reach the amazing subarctic landscapes of the Dempster and Top-of-the-World highways – roads less traveled and truly memorable. Wildlife sightings are a given along the entire route. Add colourful settlements, a guided hike in Kluane National Park, a fishing adventure off Sitka, a glacier hike in Juneau, spectacular ferry rides and a no less spectacular train ride. Did we mention a sea kayaking day out of Sitka, Alaska?

Road trip up the Klondike & Dempster Highways to Tombstone Provincial Park Day 4-5 Tombstones and the Dempster: easy hikes, native culture & wildlife observation Day 7 Dawson City. Gold panning and (of course) Diamond Tooth Gertie‘s Gold Rush flavour Day 8-9 Top of the World Highway (early fall colors) & Alaska Highway to Kluane National Park, Yukon Day 10-11 Kluane National Park including a privately guided hike Day 12 Along the Tatshenshini Highway to Haines, Alaska Day 13-15 Alaska State Ferry to Sitka. Fewer excursions will reduce overall trip cost. Advanced booking would make camper rental financially feasible while more (tent) camping could reduce cost by $385/€265 pp. Alternating tentcamping with lodging would add $500/€345 pp.
