2-12 day guided trips | May-October

As we lead increasingly urban lives we gradually lose touch with nature.
Nature Trek Canada can make you feel at ‘home’ again in the wilds, on a journey of discovery along the west coast of Vancouver Island. We walk or fly in by float plane and rekindle a sense of adventure, look for wildlife and introduce you to essential wilderness tips like cooking on camp fires, gathering food and building a shelter.

We frequent 4 areas along Vancouver Island’s west coast, each uniquely suited to a wilderness adventure. Your adventure there is not a ‘survival course’ but merely a fun way of increasing your knowledge and independence while exploring BC’s coastal rain forest. In 2017 we guided 21 mini-expeditions from 3-12 days for groups of 2 to 6 people (some with young children). One of them was National Geographic …..

Five friends and I just returned from a wilderness trek on Nootka Island, during which we had the good fortune to meet Lo and his group. I just wanted to send you this short note to tell you how impressed we were with his willingness to share his vast knowledge of the area and advise us on all things ‘wilderness’ as we progressed through the week, and his genuine friendliness.
Dan and Sharon Muzzin, Vancouver
